Is there a way in Logos to find my most used resources? Maybe a way to sort in the library? Or any other tricks?
There is a column in my library called "most used." I don't know how long it has been an option, nor do I know how it is calculated.
"The "Most Used" column ranks your resources by your most/least used resources. So a resource that has "1" under Most Used is your most frequently used resource. The bigger the number, the less often it is used. Resources with the same number of uses will have the same rank."
This is from Dylan Rondeau in the thread https://community.logos.com/forums/t/83072.aspx where that feature was discussed - seems it was implemented in Logos 5.2a back in spring 2014, but uses data about resource opening from before if they are available.
The calculation seems to rank books according to the number of times they were opened (which includes those that were opened as part of a layout even if you never intentionally looked at them, which brought e.g. one study bible into the top 15 for me ) and the count goes back as long as the installation remembers, i.e. you may find top-ranked resources that were not accessed for months. The lowest rank (= highest number, never opened) is 151 for me.
I wish that this feature would calculate the length of time one spends in a particular active window rather than the number of times it is opened, especially in a complicated layout where many resources are just there in the background.
Nice feature! Thanks guys! Bruce I agree! I had several resources that were in my top 15 that I really don't use all that often. I must have left them in the background of a layout that I frequently use.
Hello Bruce
I also think that if the Library had a feature to calculate the length of time we use a resource as part of which are our most used resources would be good.
Could you make a suggestion on user voice for that?
I believe that a simliar request has already been made - https://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-6/suggestions/6282551-ability-to-track-time-spent-in-each-resource
But since I was there I used a couple of votes to support this idea. Anyone else want to join in?
