Why can't we buy individual books in certain series'

Hi there!

2 books I've wanted to purchase recently are available on Logos but only as part of wider collections:

1. Paul and the Law (Rosner), available if you spend $425 on the whole series

2. English Hypothetical Universalism (Moore), available if you spend $345 on the whole series.

My question is... why can't we buy the individual titles? It seems that the work to make them available in the Logos format must have already been done... I definitely won't be buying the whole series... so it looks like a missed sale opportunity? (Not to mention a way to make Bible study resources available!)

This has been true for some time, but what is also true is that collections eventually get broken up at which time you can purchase individual books. PATIENCE !

Because they want to sell the larger package.

Agreements with publishers possibly come into play. Bundling increases sales volume of slower moving titles. If you only want one title out of bundle then it doesn't work, but bundles are like value meals. Even if you are really not interested in the drink, if you want everything else it's still cheaper to buy the value meal. They are not cheaper when you only want the fries, but unlike value meals for whatever reason, which they don't have to tell us because it's a seller's market, we don't always get to buy only the fries.
