Logos 6 problems indexing and launching (windows 7)

I have some problems with my Logos 6

I don't know if they are related but everytime I launch L6 it starts indexing - it seems to be a unusual slow proces even though the program doesn't download new resources. I let it finish indexing and try to restart for the new resources to download, but at reboot L6 will not launch at all - To launch L6 I need to reboot my computer just to wait for another indexing process..... is there someone else with this problem or anyone who knows how to fix it?

I'm pretty frustated since I need the L6 to finish some papers

We need to see some Logs - upload the zipped log files folder, not individual logs.

The log has a number of entries of the form:

2016-06-03 08:46:34.7745 9 Warn LibraryCatalogIndex Couldn't replace index; retrying in 11.1s.

As part of the process it is trying to replace the old index file with an updated one but is unable to do so - this leads to continuous reindexing.

But I can't see from the logs why this is happening, hopefully someone else will be able to do so.

That's just the Library Catalog--this doesn't show up as "indexing" in the program.

For this issue, I would suggest opening "C:\Users\Doc\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\xm4zgsov.jra\LibraryCatalog" in Windows Explorer, then delete every file EXCEPT for catalog.db. (Don't have Logos running while you do this.)

Regarding the indexing, the logs show that you invoked the "Pause indexing for 4 hours" command. The logs don't show whether it finished successfully, crashed, exited with an error.

Please enable logging and let the indexer run to completion, then upload the logs here.

I have a file named: "catalog.db-journal" is that the one not to delete from the "\LibraryCatalog" ?

Because of the long tedious process of indexing I have paused or canceled it a few times, tried "rebuild indexing" etc. a few times there has been a regular crash or freeze-up.

I'll try to enable logging (when I've figured out how) and let the indexer run if possible without reboot, freeze or other problems...

Starting Logos with CTRL key held will do that, but remember to do it each time you need logs.

Now Logos has finished indexing - it didn't start automaticly this time so I used the command "rebuild indexing"

The new logging file: 4520.Logos Log Files.zip

Also, I have deleted all files but "catalog.db" from the \LibraryCatalog"

I don't know if it is related but when I quit L6 it will not launch again until I reboot my computer, the blue L6 box shows but never actually launches and start the program...

Wow - deleting the files in \LibraryCatalog helped everything - L6 seems to work fine now... thanx a lot to all of you, I really, really appreciate it!

Problem solved! It starts up, no indexing at startup and instant access to library - no problems or need for reboot!
