Is there a shortcut to hiding large volumes of books by the same author, as to doing it one-by-one?

Is this function avaible on mobile or web app also. There are some study Bibles and commentaries I dont want to use now and would like to hide them from showing when changing between study bibles. I only want to be able to see the ones I am currently using.

No - it's a desktop only function.

But I thought that hiding on desktop resulted in books being hidden on mobile as well - although its a long time since I checked

I think that is still the case... although you can't hide the "free to use" resources. I believe that they always show.
