Logos 6 using 288% of system resources. ?

I have been seeing Logos 6 run up to 288% usage at times when I am not doing anything with Logos..

I had Logos open to my Sermon prep layout. But I was using internet employer at the time and then the fan turned on, so i checked to see what App was using the power on Activity Monitor.

I had not downloaded anything and i was not indexing..

Logos had been running maybe 30 minutes, but was sitting idle at the time or should have been.

There aren't many forum members who are proficient enough to diagnose this issue.

Taking a quick look, I see that you have quite a bit of very complex collections. Another user, with an older macbook, was having issues with similar collections. Your symptoms seem less severe, but perhaps the difference is due to the hardware.

I can't guarantee that I have diagnosed your issue correctly, so you might want to wait it out.

If you enable logging, start Logos and then tell us the time (on your computer) that you noticed the issue we could correlate that with an event in the log.

As far many of the collections most of them come from the Theology/Denomination Tags post Andrew & Mark.

I do have some other collections that I made also but they are not very complex.

Dave I have logging enable and will try to track when it is happening, and post a new log.

The logs (with time code) is really what is needed... Likely it will be someone like Dave or Mark that diagnoses it, but I'll take a stab too if I see it. [:)]

Hum

Ok, so i looked at my two most used layouts.

In one of them I had two open search windows, one was a req search and the other everything search.. Also MPG was also checking my Journals collection which is 1809 Journals.

That may not have been the problem but at least one layout was corrected to open check the Journals collect one place. [:$]

Before doing any of the above I did run Logos for the past 12 hours without any high use.

I will update this again.

Hello guys

I am posting a new log file, I edited my most used layouts and I have monitoring Logos but don't see the high use when idle now.

This new log should be better, could you check if it has problems that standout?
