Possible bug. CPU usage went through the roof. Possible Bug and CPU jumped through the roof.

Not sure what happened, but my fans kicked in, I checked activity monitor, and found that Logos was using around 180%. All my downloads and indexing were done, so it wasn't that. Not sure... I had just executed a passage guide search, but then sat idle. In other words, I wasn't madly clicking on resources or anything. Just thought I'd post it. Check the screen shot for a log and monitor shot.

Passage Guides run several searches on your library. In fact, each section you see does some amount of work. All of this takes processor time. In fact, using 180% of your CPU is actually a benefit in this case. We could use less CPU, but your results would take longer to return.

Let me clarify a bit, I guess. I don't usually have this kind of power being used when I run this search. I understand that a lot of work is being done on part of the processor, but this seemed unique. It was about a minute after the search when it was still using that much power. Usually it takes a little while to load, but I do these passage guide searches all the time and have never had this happen, so I thought it might be isolated and wanted to post it.

I've got a MacBook running Snow Leopard, 2GB of RAM and a 2.16 dual core. I've never encountered slowness in Logos 3 (using Libronix) and don't usually experience this sort of thing in L4A.

Also, I have a bit of trouble understanding why it takes so long and so much power, even though I've heard it explained. In Logos 3 I can do similar searches, and it doesn't take nearly as long or use much power at all. Can we expect to see performance improvements as development continues? I can run a spotlight search that reads every document, PDF, or file on my computer and gives me results in an instant and it doesn't seem to be much of a task for my computer at all. I know its not quite the same thing, but I'm just wondering what sort of benchmark you guys are aiming for for a finished product.
