How to change the default search layout?

Quick question: if I do a search from the Home screen on Logos 6 for Mac (the GO search) it gives me a default search layout with my favorite Bible and a commentary underneath. How do I customize this screen so that from now on when I do a search it defaults to a few more commentaries, etc? Right now if I change anything and then do another search from the go search from the home screen it reverts back to the default layout.

What you are looking for is provided by Custom Homepape Layouts - described at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/122221.aspx - but these are only currently available to Logos Now subscribers.

Do you have a subscription?

You can use the passage guide as a way to pull up different commentaries. You could also create your own layout by clicking "Layouts" in the top right of the program.

Thanks Graham - I just purchased the software and I really don't want to spend more $ for an additional feature that frankly should be part of the software to begin with. What advantage is the additional subscription?

Jay, there is a forum here with the name Logos Now. The first thread in that forum explains Logos Now and what it has provided so far.

I can't explain Faithlife's reasons for limiting what one can do with default layouts, but it may have to do with trying to keep the software simple for beginning users.

If I were you I'd skip searching from the Home Page and learn to use custom layouts.

One of the ideas behind this model is to make new fathers available earlier to customers who choose to subscribe

Jay, you can make your own layouts, by clicking the "Layouts" button on the top right when you have set up an area that you would predominately use for your study
