Copy Formatting Question

This really seems basic to me, but I cannot figure out what happened. So I prefer 12 font Times New Roman using MS Word on a Mac with El Capitan. When I copied a verse or various book passages it copied in the default 12, TNR format. Now, when I copy a Bible verse it comes in at 11 Point Calibri, and when I copy a quote from the notes of a study Bible it comes in at 12, Skolar Logos, but a regular book or commentary it is in the default 12, TNR format. Any idea what I need to do to get all of my copy and paste texts to 12 font Times New Roman?

In Options (in Windows at least) you can choose to keep source formatting or "merge" formatting when pasting from other programs. Calibri 11 seems to be Word's default (Word 2016). If I choose source formatting from Logos the pasted text is mostly TNR 12. If I choose "Merge" it is mostly Calibri 11.

But results can be mixed depending on the source book.

I've never used Word, but generally on Mac Shift-Opt-Cmd-V should paste any text so that it matches the text where you paste it.

When using that feature it does copy the correct format, but it also copies the imbedded notes. I think I have found the solution, thanks for the suggestions!

Dave, I appreciate your input. I checked and Office for Mac doesnt have this option, but your suggestion caused me to look closer and there is a paste and match formatting option instead of just using the paste shortcut, which is what I was doing. So, your idea led me to the solution. Thanks all!

Russell, try setting the default font in Word to Times New Roman 12 pt. That works for me.
