We have made great strides in documentation, videos, the help file and so on since Logos 6 came out. But still, this morning, I found myself not having success doing a tag search. Now I can find the information if I look for it for a while, but a quick attempt to use suggestions or search the help file did not produce immediate results and I did not have time for more.
So here comes the idea that has me dreaming and I think would really, really, help Logos a great deal:
Implement a help assistant as in the Microsoft Office 365.
For those who are not familiar with it, you have this box on the menu bar that says "Tell me what you want me to do". Say you wanted to insert a picture in a document, you type "insert" and immediately it proposes a list of matching features (like insert picture) as well as recent searches. Then you click on the feature name and it takes you there (it actually does it, not just take you to the help file). For illustration purposes, I have included a link that explains how the Microsoft feature works: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Do-things-quickly-with-Tell-Me-f20d2198-17b8-4b09-a3e5-007a337f1e4e?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US&fromAR=1
So in Logos imagine typing "tag" and having a drop down with "insert note tag" "add community tag" "search my tags". Let's say you click on the last one and it opens search with the proper prefix (or alternatively, if it is not practical to have it perform the actual function, at least open the help file at exactly the right location).
Seriously, I catch myself dreaming about this. It would be fantastic!
I have posted on uservoice and here is the link if you would like to vote for it: https://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-6/suggestions/14889942-help-me-tell-me-style
