Everyday Bible app - What is the point? it cannot keep dates straight

I see the value of daily Bible reading and Logos offers the "everyday Bible" but it is confusing and cannot keep days straight.

On the Logos sidebar:  It will have tomorrow's date and today's reading

On the app, it will have reading from today, but commentary from yesterday.  Also, why commentary.  This is daily Bible reading, not commentary reading.

On the app, I regularly open the app and it says I am done reading, when I have not started

On the app, I periodically finish the reading and there is no place for me to check it off, or there is a place and it will not accept my tap.

I have an iPhone 6s with the latest IOS.  and am running Logos 6 on a mac with the latest macOS

So a daily reading app needs to give me the agreed upon daily reading on the day it is supposed to.  In many ways the EveryDay Bible does not do the one thing it is supposed to do...so what is the point?
