highlight / document

I have many resources I need to read for assignments.

I have 3 questions I need to answer for the assignments.

When I read, I like to highlight with a color specific for the question so that I will be able to go to a logos generated document that is able to sort to the color of the highlight.

I have tried creating a new palette with the three colors but when I go to sort by note color, the highlight is not the note color and I do not get a sort.

Without going through all my highlights and changing the note color, how do I format the highlighting so I can sort when I start writing?

What's the point in being able to create different styles in a palette if I can't see what the different styles are in the newly created document with all highlights. Doesn't flow well???

I don't fully understand your questions, but for clarification: I assume you are on the desktop app (mac or windows). Right? If so, this thread may be moved to the L6 forum so you can get better help.

I think you will find that many users have strong opinions on how note documents / highlights should work. Personally, I don't use highlights as notes at all... except that that is how FL creates the highlights. I have chosen to use "resource specific" note documents so that all highlights for a given book are in the same note document. This helps optimize performance, especially on mobile. If I were ever to want to share highlights from a book, it would also allow me to share the highlights just for a particular book, rather than ALL my highlights.

I would search for the style within the resource - details at https://wiki.logos.com/Search_HELP#Highlighting_Styles

If you do this as in "inline search" (click the inline search button at the top of the resource" you will just see those things you have highlighted with that style

I opened all resources I highlighted for the assignment.

went to a search panel.

"search All Text in All Open Resources for {Highlight"name of style"}"

and now have all results in one panel.
