Layouts

Hi,

Can anybody help me? I have somehow managed to delete the default layouts. The names are still there but there is no layout to them. When I click on these layouts there is an option to restore the layout but it is greyed out and does not function. Furthermore, the delete layout is also greyed out. So I am left with five layouts that are useless.

Sorry if the answer is obvious but I am a fairly new user.

Tony

    Hi Anthony!

The 5 Layouts you are talking about are the layouts that are loaded from the Home Page, when you type in a Bible Passage from the Go Box, or select a Liturgical Date, or a Topic, etc.

Those layouts are still there. They can't be deleted. You can't open them up from the Layouts menu, but from the Home Page. Confusing, huh? Maybe in the future we'll be able to open those layouts from the Layouts menu...

They are on the Layouts menu because you can replace them with a custom layout. That's what those dropdowns you mentioned are for.

If you want to simply save a layout for some other purpose, on the Layouts menu, click on "Save as named Layout", and then give it a name. Hope that helps!

Very confusing. In a better world, you'd be able to open these by clicking on the name, just like saved layouts. I'll get a ticket started on that right away. Thanks for reporting it!

Thank you for that information. It has made things clearer.
