Why?
I buy hundreds of books from both Vyrso and Kindle every year. Novels, business and history books I buy in Kindle. If I care to ever highlight, take notes, use in a sermon, I ALWAYS buy in Vyrso.
Plus, if the book migrates to Logos you get that edition too.

So why not just produce the Logos version- ridiculous really.

I agree with the distinguished gentleman from that state to my east. A book like this is probably as valuable in my Logos library from Vyrso as a Logos version.

It isn't ridiculous. I have no idea why this is on pre-pub here, but some thoughts:
- FL can't always negotiate contracts for books to be in Logos. If that is the case, would you rather have it in Vyrso or not at all?
- The print price is $25, which is likely what it would be in Logos. The pre-pub price is $12.99 in Vyrso. Which would you rather pay?
- Since this book isn't due to be released until April 2017, would you rather have it then (Vyrso) or a year (or more) later (Logos)?
- I have not read any of the books in this series, so I don't know what might be missing in a Vyrso vs. Logos edition... but: Technical books almost always benefit from being a "Logos edition," but many other books don't gain much over being a "Vyrso edition." This appears to be a non-academic book for a more general audience. If that is the case, it might be a good fit.
I would prefer to have ALL books as a "Logos edition," but I much prefer the "Vyrso price." For books that haven't been released yet, I prefer the "Vyrso time."

Getting a whole lot of people on board early is pretty much Logos' business model. Anyone who is on the forums for long knows that.

The fact that you get the book free in Logos when it migrates (and this looks like a title that will likely migrate) is what makes it worth it to me to buy in Vyrso.
Also, even if you get minimal functionality increase with Vyrso over Kindle, to me integration into my digital library for searching, annotating, highlighting, etc makes the vyrso book worth a premium over kindle always.
The only time I would buy a Kindle book over Vyrso would be if it had integration with an audible audiobook so could listen and read simultaneously. Looking forward to Logos getting this functionality in more books

I preordered this as well. I wish they would bring back the Gospel of Jesus though
