Some of my notes don't have the scripture that the notes are referring to. Frustrating

Let's say I made a note ON 2 Corinthians 5:17. When I look on my phone later. It has the note, but does not tell me that the note is referring to 2 Corinthians 5:17. So I have no idea which scripture my note is referring to.
Are you creating the note on your phone or on your desktop?
Are you creating the note "by reference" or "by selection"?
Try creating it by reference if not doing so already.

Maybe it's my laptop but I'm unable to create a reference. When I click reference nothing happens.
I am having the same problem. Notes created on the phone/tablet and the desktop used to show the Bible reference on my phone/tablet and desktop. Approx. 3 months ago the reference dropped off the notes on my phone/tablet. The reference still shows up on my desktop. So the issue as far as I can tell doesn't have to do with how the note was created.
