I must say when I first opened Logos I thought..."what were they thinking with this homepage" But now that I have the flow of things down I'm starting to enjoy the idea. it's like getting little snippits of truth that get my mind focused in the direction of Bible study. sometimes i sit down and open up Logos only to say, I wonder what the forums are saying, wonder if I have email...I wonder if....To read a small section on the intro to Gal. is a great way to begin tunneling my focus.

I was thinking "boy it would be nice to have links to Christian news articles, or the occasional article about archeological finds" but that would end up just focusing me away from Logos rather the towards it. If it does come, I hope I turn it off and forget that the feature is there :-)

go ahead Logos, say it..."I was right..." :-)

    Philip,

    I will agree.

I would have never thought that this was a good idea but as I mentioned before; I've read things FROM MY OWN LIBRARY that I was surprised that I had and it was information that I probably wouldn't have stumbled across on my own.

If I may add to my original post I've seen some suggestions for alternating shading of articles. I"m not too fond of this idea as it would make it seem very blocky as opposed to newspaperish. What I wouldn't mind is a dark shade for all articles except the one currently under the mouse, and no shadding when the cursor is in the title bar area. This would allow the current article to jump out at you more. It would look something like this

I like that idea a lot.  Perhaps a mouse click somewhere in the text could highlight that article, rather than just a hover.

    I like that idea, too!

I'd add that the home page is growing on me, too, in 2 ways.

    1) I'm beginning to like it.
    2) Literally, it's growing... up to 8 pages this morning, up from 3 at 1st installation. How does any article ever get off the home page?!

    Grace & Peace,

This is workable... anything to break up a page of glaring white background and it allows you to better see where the disjointed article continues... it would though need to somehow work when the article continues onto the next page.
