Error message shortly after starting Logos

Friends,

I'm having trouble getting Logos to run.

I start and get onto the dashboard but shortly afterwards

"Logos Bible Software has stopped working" appears.

I am running Windows 10 Home, Version 1511 Build 10586.494 on a Medion laptop about 5 years old.

Intel core i5-2430M CPU @2.40GHz with 8 gb RAM and 64-bit operating system.

I have included a zipped copy of my Logos Log Files

Hello Deryck,

It looks like there's been some file corruption in your Logos installation. To fix this, make sure Logos is closed, and then delete the following folder: C:\Users\deryc\AppData\Local\Logos\Data\yegrtuxq.lgz\ResourceManager\

Then load Logos. On start-up, Logos will rebuild the files you deleted, so start-up will take longer than normal. However, it should fix the problem.

If it doesn't, please send a new set of logs.

Hi Mark,

seemed like it worked - but after finishing loading same message - Logos stopped working. So I followed the same procedure and deleted that file again, rebooted and then restarted Logos - same problem.

I've included an updated log files folder

Hi Deryck,

Sorry that didn't work out. The log files aren't being terribly helpful in this case. Can you check to see whether you have a better error message in Windows Event viewer? This instructions will show you how to check: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/124126.aspx

Thank you, Deryck. We were definitely on the right track with the earlier attempt at a fix, but obviously something more is going on. So I've asked a Logos developer to take a look at this. Hopefully they'll be along soon after the weekend.

In the meantime, could you delete another folder? C:\Users\deryc\AppData\Local\Logos\Data\yegrtuxq.lgz\LibraryCatalog\

Similar to last time, deleting this one will force your Library Catalog to be rebuilt next time you start Logos. It's possible this may fix the problem, but it's possible there may be an underlying issue that's causing issues with your Library Catalog, which is why I've asked a developer to also take a look.
