I've just bought a Spanish Bible for a street minister: La Biblia Latinoamerica places Psalms in the Deuterocanonicals. Anyone know the logic behind this?

Nope - I don't know enough Spanish to either correctly ask the question or read the answer in Spanish. I know that there are some reasonably bilingual individuals on the general forums that I put my life in their hands.[:)]
I have 3 or 4 Spanish language Bibles. None of them put the Psalms as deuterocanonicals. Are you sure you're not looking at the Psalms of Solomon?

Yup, last I knew Solomon hadn't reached 150 nor double numbered his (23/24) - and the are the only "salmo" in the Biblia.
Thanks for confirming that it is not a common practice that I'd never noticed. The total sequence is an odd mixture - Maccabees is not treated as deuterocanonical; the primary canon resembles the Tanakh sequence more closely than the NRSV
I hadn't heard of the Biblia Latinoamericana but I did find a link to it. The table of contents shows Psalms as part of the wisdom literature, but in the regular canon.
