The windows within windows don't seem very Mac

It is probably because I don't know the shortcuts to maximizing the window size within the frame. It is hard to get the exact spot to slide the window larger and takes me several tries. It doesn't seem very Mac like to me. There needs to be a larger target size to make it less difficult and faster. The whole look reminds me of Windows.

First, not all things Windows are bad.

Second, a few aspects of the UI design are starting to remind me of Adobe CS4. After years of floating windows on the Mac, Adobe's latest puts documents/images/etc inside a single window UI with a tabbed interface. Still a bit different than Logos, but some similarities.

Third, one option for you would be to click the book icon and select Float Panel, then you can maximize or resize the resource/tab set as you wish. Floating the panel gets you away from the window in a window.

No but this window box is! It is real pain (excuse the pun) having to float everything off in order to get it to sit on multiple monitors or effectively use spaces. Now I do agree that magnetic window edges might be a real asset.

Maybe not, but you have to admit as a general rule it has worked quite well over the years.

I agree that the target area for selecting a window split is too small. It's also slow to react when you do have it selected. I would love to see the active area for selecting window edges enlarged a bit and for the window movement/management to be smoother in general. The animation when a window is dragged larger or smaller is currently a bit jerky. This may be do to the fact that the window is constantly looking for drag zones that match the layout patterns available, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I too would love to see this receive some attention prior to launch.
