Installing Earlier Versions of Logos

Hello -

I need to do a temporary install of Logos on an older machine that runs Windows Vista, and I understand that Logos 6 will not work with that OS. Here are my questions: 1) What is the latest version of the software that WILL run on Vista, and 2) Where can I download the needed files to install it?

I understand that older versions of the software are no longer updated, and some of my newer resources may not work properly. This is a temporary situation, and anything will be better than nothing.

I ran Logos 5 on a Vista machine, so that should work for you. However, I do not know where you can find the installation files.

If you just need basic access to your library, you could also try biblia.com .

I do use biblia.com, but would like to access more than two resources at a time (... or perhaps I'm not doing it right!) ... also, I may not always have reliable internet access during the time I'll be using the Vista computer.

You can download Logos 5 at https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/install

As you recognise above this is no longer supported but it should give you access to a good subset of your resources.

That's interesting. It says L5 does not work with Vista, but I know I used it on a Vista laptop. Anyway, if it does not work, you can also find L4 here: https://www.logos.com/support/logos4/install.

No. it says that Logos 5 requires at least Vista SP2.

What it is recommending is that users upgrade to a version of the operating system that allows them to install a supported version of Logos

Gentlemen, I appreciate the information; VERY helpful. I have successfully installed Logos 5 and have begun downloading 15 GB of resources. I imagine that will take a while!

You're right, Graham. I saw the "System requirements" link and clicked on it. It says Windows 7 SP1, but that link is no longer related specifically to Logos 5. Thanks for the clarification.
