Left margin pointer not showing

Hi,

Wondering if someone could help me. My emphasis markup, "left margin pointer" does not appear. I know it is there, but it is invisible. I know it's there since when present it shifts the entire left margin of the column of text over by several characters. When I erase it, the entire left column again shifts towards the left. But the actual pointer, the little arrow in the margin, doesn't appear. I've played with each of the visual filters and nothing seems to make it appear. All my other highlighting and markups seem unaffected.

I'm sorry, I cannot duplicate the problem. Are you viewing the resource in a single column, or multiple columns. If multiple, does it show if you switch to a single column?

It seems to happen for me with both single and multiple columns, whether the pointer is in the left-most column or one of the other columns. It also only happens with the pointer. I can make and see other margin annotations, e.g. the 'left margin bar red'.

Can you post a screen shot? Also, what OS are you running?
