I think I've 'pushed' this before. But for a reminder, it's worth it again. And not just Catholics or the Fathers-inclined.

What's unique, besides matching up latin and english (glosses)?

Hebrew and greek! Go figure. In the same resource. What a great combo, which (seems to) include morph tags by language, but maybe only latin. If multiple, that'd be interesting. Very interesting.

And the Logos version allows you to look over Jerome's shoulder. But LN-izers only, I'm sure.

Now, if you're not Vulgate/latin inclined, surely an RI for the Biblical DSS. They need a push for sure.

Why would a Latin reverse interlinear be better than a normal interlinear?

Surely a normal interlinear would be better for learning Latin language.

Well, the easy answer is that the RI has substantially more votes! Since an interlinear is a series of matched-data, the sort is easy, after the data is matched. So, an RI and a not-RI are equivalent, after the data-matching is done ... just how you sort/display it. Get one to top the 100% and the other follows.

Now, which to buy after the pre-pub goes into development? Depends on your use:

1. Latin-learner: not-RI.

2. Fathers-in-latin user: not-RI

3. Noet user wanting comparables to secular writings: not-RI

4. Catholic Vulgate user, curious about underlying latin, or greek/hebrew: RI

5. Protestant wanting quick comparables on Jerome and/or Catholic usage: RI

I'm #5.

Msg to Lorenzo Adler (comment on product page): The Lexham Vulgate Interlinear will use the Clementine. And the Clementine is a separate purchase, though displayed in the interlinear. The Sacra can be linked, but it would display in a separate panel. And you'd still need the Clementine. So, the interlinear would not be your perfect resource I'm guessing.

There are those of us (think George and myself) who hate interlinears as a "learning" tool. However, a reverse interlinear is required for many Logos features to work with a particular translation. Logos only tags the original language and then uses an RI to map the tags into translations.
