Beta 13 or 4.0b?

Are we getting close to Beta 13 or 4.0b? [O]

I am hoping 4.0b The last couple of Beta releases have been small and mostly cleaning up bugs. There was a post earlier on the L4 forum that mentioned something about reading the entrails of a chicken from the grocery store and the conclusion was 4.0b by the end of March.[;)]

You can read this list of issues still in Beta 12 two ways:
Known Issues- “merge index” can still introduce index corruption under certain
circumstances. - Multiple Commentaries sections in the Passage Guide are all
labelled “Commentaries”. - The versemap that was used for parsing may not be shown.
- Pasting text into a note loses all paragraph formatting.
- The notes document may unexpectedly scroll after reordering a
note by dragging it. - If you do a search and in settings set Search Bookmarks to No,
then back to Yes the search bookmarks won’t be updated until a new
search is performed. (Fixed in 4.0c Beta 1.)
Way one: there's still some work that needs to be done before release.
Way two: they are starting to fix bugs in 4.0c Beta 1 so 4.0b Beta 12 must be close to the end if not it.

Personally, I'm A-13. I think the next major event is 4.0b.

I think they'll fix the merge indexing bug (or at least work around it) before release. They certainly ought to, and its one of the biggest causes of crashes on non-beta systems.

I agree. I can wait for 4.0b (or whatever it will be called). It is one thing for our Beta's to crash, but these other folks are supposed to be running "stable" releases. Many have no idea that simply adding a new product or receiving a Logos "up-date" of corrected/re-worked resources is what caused their computers to re-merge indexes and thus crash.
Let's get them safely fixed. Many of them who end up on the General or L4 Forum are quite bewildered. I'm glad that so many of these folks do eventually ask for help on these Forums. But how many others have simply walked away in frustration, gone back to L3 or simply abandoned the product?

The natives are getting restless. It's been almost two weeks since a release. That's longer than any other inter-beta cycle thus far on 4.0a or 4.0b. They must be working on fixing a really hard bug. And they must be down to just one developer left on 4.0b now -- the rest must all be on 4.0c already. That means good things will be happening in the first beta of 4.0c, but we need to see 4.0b ship before we can get there. Soon, please?

Or maybe they just got tired of all the criticism concerning their last release and decided to take as long as needed to test their product?
