Is it possible to set one's Search results to open automatically and exclusively in a floating window?
Provided your window is saved with your layout, include a Search panel with "Send Searches here" set from its menu.
Thank you, Dave. I think I understand your instruction, but I am envisioning a "Search result" floating window that is not necessarily connected to or dependent upon my Layout. In other words, the window (or panel) would appear upon execution with the results and "float" either in the foreground or background until the user dismisses it.
Dave, your suggestion is as close to what I'm after as I can get. It would be nice to have the Search dialog window appear immediately as a floating window rather than appearing imbedded within one of the panels of the Layout, and to be able to do so by default upon each start-up. Thanks again!
