Logos 4 Has Stopped Working message - log included

It was working fine up until today. I downloaded and installed an update to Evernote, and thought that might be the culprit, but after unistalling Evernote, it still remains. It gets past the starting sound and then I get the stops working message.

Unfortunately as with many others you have encountered an error in the index. You will need to rebuild by deleting the folder C:\Users\Peter Bogert\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\icy4a3ly.0ud\LibraryIndex\ and restarting L4.

Note you need to be able to view hidden files and folders from Control Panel | Folder Options.

Please see if you can get into Logos by loading a blank layout. To do this hold down the CTRL key as you double clcik on the Logos icon and keep holding it down until you get a screen that shows you login information. Check the box to open to a blank layout and then tell it to sign in.

If that works, see if you can click on the last layout you used and open it or on the Home Page icon to get to the Home Page if that is usually where you open.

Report back. If it crashes again, let us see the log file.

Mark. Thanks. I can get to a blank layout and open my own layouts, but when I try the home page, it crashes. I'll delete the index files like Dave suggested (Thanks, Dave!!) and give that a shot.

Maybe that will do it, but it did seem like from the log file that something was happening with the Home Page.

It might be worth trying something to correct that before committing to reindexing.

Try deleting the contents of the HomePage folder from your Logos 4 Data folder;

C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\{Random String}\HomePage

then restart normally.
