Along with my previous question last week, I think this question might not be as complex. I would like to see my Peshitta in a Logos Hebrew Font instead of Logos Segoe UI font. Is there a way to do that? Thanks!

Gregorio,
Segoe UI is not the font for Hebrew/Aramaic or Syriac.
Have you cheked out the fonts on http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_Syriac.html?
All of these if installed will show up in the Logos/Program Settings.
Stephen
Mmm, Stephen, this may be part of my problem. If I cut and paste from the Leiden Peshitta into my Word program, it tells me the font is “Segoe UI Historic.” It looks correct, however. Now, when I copy Hebrew from AFAT to Word, it immediately converts it into Ezra Sil. Are you saying that I need to install one of the fonts in the page (very nice), and first convert the font before I can then convert it to the square Hebrew font?
Steven, the fonts seem to have migrated to http://www.bethmardutho.org/index.php/resources/fonts.html
Which of these packages do you recommend for my PC, given that I want to see if I can convert these into the square Masoretic font? Thanks!

I think your problem has two components. One: have Logos display Syriac in a font you like. Two: copy this font over to Word. The second issue only comes up when you use a Logos-supplied font (like the one your system currently shows for Syriac) since Microsoft will then replace it with an installiert font. Have you checked the program settings to see what you are currently using and maybe to choose a font you like better?
Mick. I am at a loss on how to proceed. I don't have any problems with the Hebrew as I have Ezra Sil installed. Can you recommend a font, from the link I just mentioned above? And then, would my Peshitta open automatically with that font in Word, or would I have to take some additional steps? Finally, how would I transform that font into a Masoretic type Hebrew font (without having to retype it, which is what I am doing now). Thanks.
I can't recommend any fonts for you - I don't read Syriac at all (Hebrew neither) and the little bit I have seen of Greek shows that different people like different fonts. Logos will (I think this is a rather recent development ) support any Unicode font you install. What I was pointing at was, that in the program settings you choose the fonts for Standard (i.e. Latin, which displays Western languages such as English ), for Greek, for Hebrew and for Syriac independently. Thus any Syriac resources will open in this font and try to copy over to Word etc. provided the font is installed on your system. So my advice was to look whether a font you like already is there for Syriac.
Thanks. I guess that because the Peshitta fonts look fine in Word as it is, my quest is rather to find how I can change these to read them as Hebrew fonts. Thanks.
