Membership has it's privledges

As a Logos Now member I just received L7. It downloaded rather quickly and indexed. The entire process was about 30 minutes. When L6 was dropped I had difficulties figuring out base packages because the site was overloaded, feature updates, download time was long, etc. Thanks for this great membership benefit along with a $10 discount on my next purchase.

Being an annual LN member has been worth every dollar. Now will take my time and evaluate the base packages when they are presented.

[Y] I was thinking the same thing in the wee hours of the morning when the full update had downloaded and indexing started. No crawling website, no waiting (and waiting) for the sales rep to get back to me, no forum mania ([:P]). My L6 upgrade experience was frustrating and exhausting. This time around was a breeze. I think that Steve is a Verbum Now member (as am I). Sometimes the bells and whistles aren't exactly in sync between the two different "Now" programs.

Hmmm ... I received an e-mail, but not with that subject. It was titled "Logos 7 is Here - Be the First to Get It".

As Brian mentions, I think there is a disconnect (again) with the Verbum Now subscribers. Somewhat disheartening. [:(]

Did you get an email from Logos Bible Software with this title: Important update about your Logos Now membership? If you did, then the coupon is in there, in the next to last paragraph.

I suppose (or at least I hope) they will at some point offer various Logos crossgrades for one to upgrade to Logos 7 and get all the features and datasets. In general, I like selecting the resources/books I will actually use rather than getting boxes of stuff I will never use.

In my understanding, you don't need to buy the feature set if you don't want to. In other words, you have all the features right now with Logos Now. You can though purchase them if you like, that way if you end up cancelling your Logos Now membership, you will have the L7 features. All the feature sets are included in Bronze base packages and higher I believe.

But that's the problem I'm facing. I got the Collector's today, but the Feature set on the website says I need to pay $82.63 for the rest of the data sets, even though I have the base package and Now...?

EDIT: Found this statement directly from their new FAQ section -

With a Logos Now membership, you have access to the Logos Cloud Feature Set, which includes:

Logos 7 Full Feature Set
Logos 8 Early Access Features
New, subscription-only features

However, if you are a Logos Now member and wish to own the Logos 7 Full Feature set, you can purchase it at a discounted price..

Price wise this looks about right from the Logos 6 upgrade.

I had issues in the past with upgrading because I was on the old Original Languages package, which was scrapped for the Biblical Languages package.

There was some confusion in Logos about these packages and they originally wanted to charge me full price for BL.

Do you know if there have been any issues with the OL/BL package crossgrade this time round?
