Not sure what happened since the upgrade, but L7 is very quick in opening, closing and opening resources etc. Nice.

Agreed. Very little lag for tasks that previously would reveal a spinning beachball on my POWERFUL 15" MacBook Pro!
I noticed as well much better performance speed
