Study course and non-study course resource together?

Let's say I wanted to do Grudem's Systematic in the L7 course selection, but I also wanted to read Allison's Historical Theology along side of it and do both either in the 63 sessions or At My Own Pace in 63 sessions.

Do I have to make a reading plan for Allison or is there another way to just read both side by side in sync'd way?

Currently, you would have to create a separate reading plan. There has been some discussion of the possibility of allowing users to build their personal plans.
