Help with a Greek words (100x +) Word List and corresponding Visual Filter

Maybe I should've put this under Logo 7, I don't know.

Anyway, what's the best way for me to:

Create a word list of all New Testament Greek words that occur 100 times or more...

Then to have a corresponding visual filter for those particular words?

Any wisdom / advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much everyone.

ok. So, I have the Word list. That was much simpler than I thought. I just use the Word List feature, set my range as Matthew to Revelation, and then once that list was built (It took quite a few minutes to build), I sorted by number of occurrences, and then deleted all the rows that had an occurrence quantity less than 100.

Now I just need to know if I can take this word list and make a visual filter out of it???

This should work for most original language texts that contain interlinear rows (the three dashed lines button at the top of TCBlack's screenshot).

If you want a custom visual filter that highlights rather than changes the interlinear, the easiest way is to export your word list into Excel. Then copy and paste into a text editor, and manipulate it using search/replace. Paste the resulting line into your visual filter.

Precise steps:

Save your passage list in Excel format.
Open the file in Excel.
Delete the header row.
Select the 'lemma' column (column 'A').
Open Microsoft Word, and create a new document.
Choose "Paste Special" and select "Unformatted Text"
Click "Replace" in the ribbon, and enter ^p in "Find What", and , lemma: in "Replace with"
Delete the extraneous ", lemma:" from the end of the document, and add a "lemma:" to the start.
Copy the entire document and paste it into a morph search or morph visual filter.

Mark, I don't think there's anything about Logos that you don't know how to do. Thank you so much my friend. As usual, you have provided for me exactly what I need.

I will say, however, that this seems like a lot of work for something that should be very simple. I don't know why Word Lists can't just be added to the Visual Filter drop down icon. There's already 1 million things in that drop-down anyway, so adding a section for one's Word Lists shouldn't be that big of a deal. Or at least allowing Word Lists to be accessed from the visual filter creation feature would be nice. I would think that would be a relatively easy thing to accomplish (of course, that's easy for me to say from the comfort of my sofa, with no programming experience, and with no required skin in the game to make that happen. LOL [:D] )

Can you explain why I needed to do a MORPH VF as opposed to a Bible VF? It seemed to me that since I am using a lemma list that I should have created a Bible VF. Why a Morph VF? Inquiring minds want to know...I want to know. LOL

Either is fine, but I prefer the morph search for three reasons:

Bible search expects lemmas to be in the format <Lemma = lbs/el/αὐτός>, rather than lemma:αὐτός. If you're typing them one at a time, Bible search will transform lemma:αὐτός into the right format, but it doesn't do that if you're pasting multiple lemmas. So if you do a Bible search you have to use a slightly more complex format, and specify the language code yourself. You can use a Morph search to add the filter to non-Bibles, which might be useful sometimes.
If you really want a Bible search, you can paste the simpler format into a Morph search and then switch to Bible search to have it converted to the right format.
