Passage Guide for Parallels?

I'll try to express this as clearly as I can.

I spend a lot of time in the Synoptics. I like using the passage guide to pull open my various commentaries, but there is a problem. Sometimes, for example, if you are looking at passage in Matthew, the commentary (or study Bible) will say something like, "See notes on Mark #." I have to click on it to move to the linked resource. While that's workable, it's not ideal.

What I would like to do is easily access all the commentary & notes for a particular pericope or saying regardless of which Gospel book it shows up in. I can't, however, think of an easy way to do this. I tried looking in a Gospel harmony and opening a multiview with a commentary series, like this:

If I click on any of the columns in the harmony, the reference in the reference box changes to whichever one it is, but the commentary panel doesn't update. Ideally I'd like to see the commentary for Mark when I click on the Markan passage, Luke for the Lukan, etc.

Also, it would be nice in the multiview to be able to switch to a different commentary series easily. If I click here on the Baker commentary then hit the right or left arrow, the window moves to the next commentary set BUT it fills the whole window & I lose the harmony pane. That's not particularly helpful.

I'm sure I'm being as clear as mud here, but does anyone have any ideas as to how I can do something like what I'm trying to explain?

Something like this is closer to working but still not so elegant:

I've linked as set "A" the harmony, a Bible text, and a commentary in separate windows.

If I click any of the passage references in the harmony window, it stays put but the Bible goes to the clicked passage, as does the commentary. So far so good. In the commentary window, I can use the arrow keys to scroll through my various sets. It works okay for verse by verse commentaries, but when I get to one that is, say, just divided by chapters, the harmony and Bible windows start to drift away from where they were at. Ideally I'd want to set the commentary window link to "Follow", not "A", but that option doesn't seem to be there.

Any ideas?

I suggest you consider using multi-view (L7 feature set) instead of linking the commentary to the bible. The commentary does not impact the Bible or what it is linked to and can be read independently. See my "synoptic layout" below.

You can orient the layout more vertically if you want more commentaries in multi view. I have a custom passage guide set up that allows me to select additional commentaries tied to the bible that are also not linked and will not impact the layout when scrolling.

Ah I was overthinking it. It was simplicity itself to get what I wanted, requiring neither multiview resources nor linked windows. All I needed to do was open up the harmony then open up a commentary and select the "Send Hyperlinks Here" option. If I click on the references in the harmony, the commentary goes to the right volume and location. I can left or right arrow through the commentary's parallel resource sets but the harmony won't be moved, and I just have to click the reference again to get the commentary window back on track--except when the current commentary doesn't cover a particular Bible book. Then it opens the Bible. But that last bit is manageable enough.
