Baker Sermon Outlines: are key passages tagged in Logos 7

Hi,

'I'm thinking of making the upgrade to Logos 7 gold or higher from Logos 6 Gold.

I notice that the Baker Sermons Outlines are included in the Gold base package, but I read that the key bible packages in Baker Sermons Outlines were not tagged in Logos 6, so would not show up in Sermon Starter.

Does anyone know if these are now tagged in Logos 7 Gold, and will show up in sermon starter.

I appreciate any information.

They are not. But I find that searching a sermon collection is a much better beginning to this process anyway. I have a collections of resources that are tagged as sermons (that covers a huge amount of these resources), or that have "Sermon" or "sermon outline" in the title, or that are manually added myself.

Then do a Bible reference search or a word search for that collection.

Granted, they should be tagged, but I find that using the collection method is much more reliable for at least locating resources that are related to the topic or reference you are teaching or preaching on. I know it doesn't do all the proof feel stuff, such as identifying illustrations, but at least it is pretty dogon accurate in the manner and for the purpose I have described. :-)

Myke, not to disagree completely, as I use a sermon outline collection as well, but the advantage to tagging the outlines is to reduce false or extraneous hits, to focus in on outlines specific to the passage, not quoting it in another passage's outline.

If we had this, you and I could still search our collections when we want to probe deeper, but we'd save time when that isn't our interest.

Thank you for the suggestions everybody. We understand why there would be a desire to see these resources in the sermon section.

We have not tagged these resources with the sermon label because they are not sermons, they are sermon outlines.

We also recognize the value of sermon outlines appearing in relevant guides. This is why we have already begun discussions to introduce a new section to relevant guides: sermon outlines. Additionally we have identified 100+ resources that would benefit from this type of mark-up. Baker Sermon Outlines are on the list.

Having the two categories separated sounds like the better long-term plan, even if it means waiting longer.
