TIP of the day: How do I see the contents of footnotes?

No, this is not specific to L7 ... I'm working on an index and waiting for the dust to settle on that.

1. When in scrolling mode, footnotes do not appear on the page.

2. They are visible on mouse-over in a pop-up window.

3. One may switch to page mode and see them at the bottom of the page:

  • open Panel Menu
  • set Columns 1 or greater
  • turn on Show footnotes on page

4. They may be seen in either of two tools available in Tools --> Lookup:

  • Information
  • Power Lookup

5. In Tools --> Lookup --> Information, footnotes appear in the Footnote section of the panel.

6. In Tools --> Lookup --> Power Lookup, footnotes appear as References in the resource.
