BUG: Settings Change after update

As Donnie has reported several times, including HERE, the Bible! app on iOS (perhaps the others as well... I don't know) have a bad habit of changing settings when a new version is installed. I experienced great frustration today in service because highlights were turned "off." I think two things need to be addressed:
- The cause for the settings being changed needs to be addressed.
- Even when a user has manually turned highlighting notes off, the note document SHOULD automatically turn on when (s)he makes a highlight.

I tried for a couple of hours to reproduce this issue and was unable to. Nevertheless, I'll write up a case.

#1; I believe a case already exists for #2.
