Logos 4 Processor Humming

I just purchased & loaded Logos 4 on my MacBook. While I run the program my processor is making a loud humming noise. Very irritating while trying to read a bible. Any reason this is happening. I have only noticed this before when running a powerful chess engine. Obviously this is not desirable. Can anyone help?

PS I have never used Logos before so I do not know what I am doing yet.

Processors really don't humm, but the fan does. Could have been dust LOL..

If you recently purchased and installed then the computer would have been working very hard doing the initial indexing which, depending on how big a base package you bought, could take many hours. While it was working extra hard particularly on a notebook (MacBook) you will hear the fans working hard to keep the CPU cool.

Should eventually stop though.

Yes I should have said fan...I have always assumed that fan starts cranking away when the processor is working hard.

If you can close the screen and flip your MacBook Pro over during indexing, you can use some non-stick spray and cook up some yummy eggs, bacon, pancakes...indexing heats the thing up nicely.[;)]
