Seeing as how both of these features utilize text sets for the purpose of comparison and they already appear in columns, wouldn't it make sense to bring them together into one place? Looking at Mat 7 for instance; one might look at the Text comparison for a defined set of Bible versions and then - without opening up another window - simply click on "compare Pericopes" and the structure of that pasage would emerge.
There might be instances where there are no pericope sets for a particular bible translation and that pericope space would be blank. But for the rest of the versions one could simply toggle from full text - in multiple translations - to pericopes.
PS- Another thought might be incorporating another front end for the OUTLINES = set into columns side by side like the Text Comparison and Compare Pericope. LOGOS has quite a number of great sources to choose from with so many resources having helpful breakdowns of passages. This little area would fast become a well worn tool of bible teachers and pastors. How great it would be to be able to simply toggle from texts > pericopes > outlines? All in one location. I think that would be great.
