Just got Logos 7 but screen is black!

I now have Logos 7 on my Windows 8.1 Toshiba laptop. But when I opened it, the home screen is black; and I can't see a thing! I can still click on links, but I have no idea where it will take me until I click it. Everything else seems to work fine. Please help!

Well, after I made the first post, the home screen did come up. Now, it's just hit and miss.
