When I open Concordance and try to change the Bible version the thing just freezes and the little wheel just spins and eventually I have to force close the software. This happens every time.
0121.LogosLogs.Brianmoody.20160907-102225.zip a close of the whole software. This happens 'every time'
How much time to you give Logos to complete the operation before you force quit the software? It takes a very long time to generate a concordance for any Bible version. A better progress indicator might help strengthen our patience [:D].

I could not agree more. I wish someone would log this as an official suggestion. Perhaps a progress wheel, such as the reading completion wheell that indicates how much of a book has been read.
I have tried waiting but it is not for the concordance to complete the operation, it is just to change the bible version at which it freezes
Does your Concordance tool look like this? This concordance took 6 minutes to build on a Late 2012 3.4GHz 27" iMac.
Yes it does. As I mentioned, the thing freezes when I try to change the Bible version.
Are you changing Bibles while the tool is generating a concordance? I have switched between Bibles during generation and and when the tool is at rest, with texts have a RI and with texts that do not have one—and with all this I cannot make Concordance freeze.
I would like to provide some assistance here, but I cannot duplicate your issue. I will see if I can get someone from FL to interact with your problem.
I will make one more suggestion. You might try entering "Rebuild Bible Index" in the Command field (without the quotation marks). That will not take as long as a complete rebuild, but it could take several minutes.
No I am not changing Bibles while the took is generating a concordance. In fact it opens quite quickly with the ESV
Now I can change the second drop down to change from a word, lemma etc. and I can change the third dropdown. But it is just the Bible versions that causes the thing to 'freeze'.
Any help to resolve this issue would be most appreciated.
I made one more suggestion above, but we were both posting at the same time. He is the suggestion again:
I sent a message to FL to have someone look at this thread, but it is the weekend, and they have been working hard.
Many thanks. I am now doing it.
Did as you mentioned with rebuilding bible index but it has made no difference. The thing still freezes when I try to change the bible version
After you said ESV generated quickly, I felt that it was a long shot. Hopefully someone from FL will appear soon.
my thanks again
What version are you trying to do? There is a known problem with the NABRE ... there may be others as well although there has been no other hint of it.
The log indicates you have one generated concordance for ESV, but no indication of changing the bible version (this would generate a new concordance). Check this in the folder /Users/Brianmoody 1/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/tueqq9vb.w18/Concordance, where the generated file names have a suffix of "concordance" (ESV is LLS_1.0.710_xxxx.concordance).
If there is only that one concordance, try deleting the /Concordance folder, restarting Logos and generating a couple of concordances.
My Logos program has been frozen for the last three days while it says it is indexing. I can't recall do anything other than clicking on the recent software upgrade to Logos 7 Basic. Thanks, Paul Burrus

I can't see anything in the logs you provided. So enable indexing as per these instructions, kill the Logos Indexer in Activity Monitor (if it is running) and restart Logos. But report the problem in a new thread to better get attention.
Technical team, after killing the indexing in Activity Monitor, the problem cleared up. I am so grateful for your help! I now have the knowledge to address and report any future problems. Thank you so much!
Shalom,
Paul Burrus

Thank you for the feedback, but like others with the impressive-looking 'star' icon, I'm just a volunteer helper and not an employee of Faithlife!
