Hellenistic Commentary on the New Testament

Although I am not sure when I would be able to afford it, this resource strikes as the kind that would be particularly useful not only in its own right, but in Logos (with links, tags, connections to guides, etc):

I have a copy of this in print. In my experience the connections documented are tenuous and not the sort of thing I'd thought would be included (no, I don't have an example as I've had this book for at least 11 years, and haven't consulted it for at least 10 years). That said, it would be much easier to consult if it was in Logos than on my shelf.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience of the work. I am curious indeed as to what your experience could have been if you had been able to use it in Logos.

I read a review by Craig Keener that was more positive. He pointed out that there many, sometimes better connections that the commentary did not bring to light, but that his own extensive personal database of parallels was also helpfully supplemented by this resource. He observed that some parallels to Jewish materials were made, although not enough in his view.

I have no personal opinion since I have never used it yet.
