Android Suite 5.6.0 Beta Release Notes

The Android team is pleased to announce the 5.6.0 Beta release of the Faithlife apps.

If you are already signed up for the beta via Google Play, you will automatically receive the beta update over the next few hours.  

If you are a new beta user or haven't previously tried one of our beta apps before, we have switched to Google's Open Beta test model so you don't need to sign up - just use the opt-in links shown below.

If you discover any issues please create a new post and include the following info:

  • Description – How were you using the app when the problem occurred.
  • Device Info – (Nexus 7, Motorola Triumph, Droid Bionic, etc.)
  • Android Version – (4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 7.0)

    Works great, and this might just be the killer feature now that makes me buy that large tablet!

    Can't open the Bible! beta app on a Chromebook (not sure what Android version it's running, though). I know that's probably doubly unsupported, but just a heads-up. It shows the splash screen, adds the navigation bar up top for a second, then closes.

    EDIT: I think this is actually an issue with my Chromebook. All my Android apps are misbehaving. False alarm!

    These work well, however I have noticed the following issues:

    1) Verses which are added by pressing enter after a verse do not show correctly formatted in the document in the Android app. Whereas blockquote text does

    2) Questions are not formatted correctly in the text - they appear without any styling.

    Other than that all looks good

    Thanks for the report - both of these issue are already fixed in developer builds.
