How can I do a search for "God loves" and "God hates?" In OT and NT.
I want to pick up such things as the sense of "loved by Him" / "He hates..." etc.
I have been fiddling around with Clause and Syntax searches but so far without much satisfaction.
There are a lot of Gk/He verbs for love and hate. For GK I can pick up LN domains such as 88.198–88.205 for "hate," and 25.33–25.58 for "love."
[For that matter can I even use a LN range in Clause search or can I only use a single LN number? -- a range isn't working for me yet]
I can probably stick with θεός for God in the NT. Would I miss much other than pronouns? Is there a way to ferret out the Sense of God and then a LN domain such as for love/hate (see above)?
The OT words for God are a bit broader. Again, can I find "God" in some "Sense?" Is there one overarching Sense that stands for God (not gods) in all senses? How can I capture a range of Heb. terms for "love" and "hate?" Do I have to provide a string of Lemmas for the verbs hate/love?
I am tweaking things like "person:God" and "verb-sense:to hate" but so far nothing is very successful. I realize I may be mixing and matching options here with clause and syntax searches, so hope this question isn't isn't overly complex.
This one has me treed for now, and I am sure someone will have an easy answer to get me back on terra firma. Thanks!
