The next bit of knowledge we need to know about a Bible character is the general cultural knowledge and value given them at the time a text referring to them was written. For Old Testament figures, mentioned in the New Testament we have a few basic resources ... not great but the best we have.
1. Ginzberg, Louis, Henrietta Szold, and Paul Radin. Legends of the Jews. 2nd ed. Philadelphia: Jewish Publication Society, 2003.

2. Yonge, Charles Duke with Philo of Alexandria. The Works of Philo: Complete and Unabridged. Peabody, MA: Hendrickson, 1995. Note this begins to build a typology knowledge section as well.

3. For Talmudic material, do a Search on your resources title:Talmud ... or use a permanent collection of your Talmudic material.

Typology is another way to understand how Biblical characters were understood especially if the type/antitype comes from Biblical or Patristic sources.
4. For you resources on typology, a search on title:typology similar to the Talmudic search above will give useful results.

5. To find the Patristic references, use the Verbum supplied collection Church Fathers and search for Abraham NEAR (type, antitype).
