SUGGESTION: Make simple bible verse copying easier

I would like to copy a simple Bible verse within my Windows Logos software without having to futz with visual filters. Seems no matter what I do I cannot get a plain copy of the bible without footnotes, superscripts, etc. Even when I toy with visual filters it leaves gigantic gaps in the text if I try to simplify it all.

Surely when you revamp 7.0 and make it work better and easier, you can begin by fixing something so obvious in need of simplification please. It astounds me that copying a Bible verse should be this complex...seriously.

I admit I may need to learn a few steps to do it now (even in Logos Now) but I am sure most would admit this simple operation should be a lot easier to do within the software.

Veteran users are rolling their eyes right now but the rest of you - can I get an amen?

Have you tried the copy bible verses tool?

1. tools >copy bible verses

then click the blue formatting options (titled by whichever option you currently have selected. and then select whichever format you prefer, but Bible Text Only or Quotation seems it might be what you want.

You can also modify how copying functions in Tools | Program Settings.

Voila! No more unwanted superfluous fluff.

If can use Smart Tags then Bible Reference in Word can be replaced with text from Copy Bible Verses tool using Right Click additional actions in Word:

Smart Tag "Replace with Passage" (or Copy Bible Tools) does not copy active visual filters.

These are all wonderful suggestions I will make immediate use of. I knew there had to be an easier way.

Something like a JUST COPY BIBLE VERSE ALONE. My suggestion is still vital and important I think.

Copy Bible Verse - Clean should be a no-brainer easy thing to do.

Copy Bible Verse - Clean should be a no-brainer easy thing to do.

Actually, an easy way is there, but it may not be clear.

If you right click on the verse or verse selection you want to copy, and select the reference option on the right side of the context menu (third one down form the top), then the "Copy" option on the left will use the currently selected style from Copy Bible Verses (CBV).

It does NOT work with the Ctrl+C or Cmd+C keyboard shortcut. The keyboard shortcut copies the "current selection" rather than the verses (as if you clicked on the top item on the right side and copied from that). So you have to remember to use the menu and select the reference option first.

So make yourself a style in the CBV window that you deem is "clean", and you can easily copy in that style by using this method.
