Afrikaans publications

I was, for the last 3 days, part of a group of 34 people coming together to learn exciting new ways of studying the Bible with Logos. We are all Afrikaans pastors, working in an Afrikaans environment. Is it possible to make Afrikaans resources available? Apparently Logos previously had Afrikaans resources. Will those be accessible again? I am thinking e.g. of various Afrikaans Bible translations.

Hi Logos, is there any update regarding the Afrikaans Bible translation that you were updating and sorting out with the rights etc in South Africa?
There is a lot of Afrikaans speaking users of Logos in South Africa and it is really frustrating that we don't have access to Afrikaans Bible.
Can we please please please get an update on when we can expect the Afrikaanse Nuwe Vertaling to be available in Logos?

I posted about this in 2014. Still no result.

Ek was gelukkig.

I can read Dutch very well, but unfortunately I cannot write it well. I can write in Afrikaans, but perhaps English would be a better medium. Yes, the Dogmatiek van Heyns is available in the e-Logos Library, but it is in Afrikaans, not Dutch. I have a current copy in my library. They also have his 2 volumes on ethics available.
I really hope they reintroduce these Afrikaans resources.

I am an Afrikaans Reverend in Mpumalanga. I had the Afrikaans version of Logos Bible Software as well. Unfortunately I can't use it on my Mac. There will undoubtedly be a huge demand for a Logos version with the Afrikaans books and Bible translations. It would be wonderful if it is compatible with Mac too. Students will also reap the benefits of some very good Afrikaans books.
Please we really need this program![:)]

Shalom Willie, welcome to the forums!
Logos has been compatible with Mac since 2009 (Logos 4.0) so you should not have any problems using your Afrikaans Logos library on an Apple computer. Do you know that you can download the Logos 6 core engine for free?

Thank you for answering my question. I have a print copy of Heyns' Dogmatiek (in Afrikaans - as far as I know it has never been translated into Dutch) and I would love to have it in Logos. Since our languages are closely related it is very easy for me to read Afrikaans. I expect that I will not be the only Dutch user that will buy at least some Afrikaans resources once they become available in Logos.
Greetings, / Met een broederlijke groet,
Hendrik-Jan van der Wal

In February 2012 I asked on this Forum for the Bybel in Afrikaans. I also took up contact with Logos and the South African Bible Society. And that was the last I have heared from Logos and the Bible Society.
I have also organized for the Bible in Afrikaans in BibleWorks and Accordance. Their reaction was wonderfull and fast. Therefor, if you are interested in the Bible in Afikaans, then purchase BibleWorks and Accordance. They are willing to make it available - Logos alas not.
I still have, since Libronix, the 1953 and 1983 Afrikaans Translations available. When Logos moved out of South Africa, they also lost any interest in South Africa and in spreading the Gosple here.
