Greek word read aloud?

I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem?

When I do a bible word study in Greek, after clicking on the loudspeaker icon I can only get the word to be read aloud properly when I'm on Wifi.  If I'm on 3G then I get an infinite waiting icon, which flickers at regular intervals.  

I'm wondering if it is a carrier issue and what I can do to rectify the situation, or if it is a bug of the app (doesn't seem to make sense to me that it is a bug though)?
