It occurs to me that people might like voting on items they'd want to preview for the next month, and by doing this, you could accomplish two things:
- First, you'd be giving users a choice of the top-voted items which more people would be happy to preview, instead of delivering unannounced material to our library without any notice.
- Second, an alternate set of check boxes could also indicate which items a person did not want to receive, and it would not download for that user, if the item happened to be selected by the majority.
I think an approach like this would make the preview benefit more appealing, as people would have the power to decide what to preview, as well as what shouldn't be downloaded.
