To search for a Bible reference in a dictionary which search type would you use?
Lolololol
A Basic search is best for that. You can also do a Basic inline search in the resource panel.
https://ref.ly/logos4/Search;kind=Basic;q=$3CJohn_3:16$3E
You would use basic. Then chose the dictionary or the collection of dictionaries and use the search string like this: <Gen:1:1>
Does this help?
This is your first post? Two minutes after another first time poster...hmmm....

Hello Ms. Spriggs
I pray you found an answer and the link was helpful. I continue to believe that basic functionality within Logos can and should be improved.
The good news is I heard from one developer who said they hope to go back and streamline and simplify 7.0 now that it has been released.
I do not know all the wiki video links but they are there https://wiki.logos.com/Basic_Search and I remain hopeful that basic usage of Logos will become easier over time. Do you remember laboring over multiplication tables in the past as a child or even geometry? I do. I pray your use and our shared learning on how to use Logos becomes as second nature.
God bless you, your study and your future searches.
Joshua

Dictionary resources have type of encyclopedia. Logos Help has Bible Book abbreviations.

I was about to say. Split personality issues...perhaps? And to use a woman's full "name," that makes it even weirder 😒
