I tried to continue on a older thread that I began on this probelm but no one answered so I am starting a new one. When I copy and paste from a resource it goes into the document the way that it does as if I were pasting in Word. It does not put that block around the quote with the title of the resource in blue. Now, when I attempted to do this from my NA28, it pasted in just fine but when I pasted in from a commentary it does not do it the right way. One time, I quoted from a commentary it did it the right way and all the other times it did not. It did not even do it correctly when I pasted from a Bible dictionary. I cannot figure why this thing seems to have a mind of its own. Please help!!!

By design, the sermon editor has different behavior based on whether you paste into an empty paragraph vs pasting into a paragraph that has content. This design choice was made to better support inline quoting of a short phrase within the context of your own paragraph.

Is it possible that the paragraph that you're pasting into has a stray space or punctuation character in it?

So, your saying that I am posting into the middle of a section instead of into a completely empty space?

I'm unclear on the distinction between those.

Are you able to post screenshots of before and after your paste? That might help in diagnosing the issue.

I'm trying to follow this as well.

I think Jacob is saying that if you paste into a paragraph with any content, you don't get the block quote formatting; but if you paste into an empty paragraph (i.e., line break above and line break below with no characters or spaces) you get the block quote formatting.

Is that what you are saying, Jacob?

I post the exact same way every time and sometimes it works correct and other times it doesn't. I pasted from the NA28 without a problem, but when I went to paste the exact same way from a commentary of dictionary, it pasted like I was in Word and not with the block quote.
