BUG: Inline references shown as footnotes

In academic standards there are three common ways to give references:

footnote
endnote
inline reference

Unfortunately Logos has invented a fourth

inlinereference footnote

I can reproduce this in the New Testament Use Of The Old Testament when copying into MS Word:

Fortunately this new innovation has not made it into the page view:

The problem is that these are not footnotes - anywhere. And they do not show as footnotes in page mode. And no academic style has you use both an inline reference and a footnote.

I respectfully request that this innovation be squashed until required by some academic style book.

Which turns off all footnotes. You and Bradley are missing the point that this is not a footnote in any sense of the word. The so-called footnote is completely a Logos invention unknown/unneeded/unwanted in the original text. Having it controlled by Copy Citations makes sense as it is an inline citation.

Tsk, tsk, time to bring out Fallacy Hound. I never said it wasn't a footnote. I simply wrote that whether or not it's copied is controlled by the "Copy footnotes" setting, which is what the OP asked in https://community.logos.com/forums/t/131635.aspx. In fact, I even wrote "both kinds", implying that footnotes and Logos popups are distinct things.

Yes, it's a bug that you can't control whether Logos inline popups are copied separately from actual footnotes. I believe there's a case for it in our system since it has been a longstanding issue.

The current workarounds are to disable "Copy footnotes" (and stop everything coming over) or enable "Copy footnotes" and delete the ones you don't want.
