After playing briefly with the Morph Query Builder, I have a few observations/suggestions:
1. The language should default to the language of the resource. If SBLGNT is selected, you should not have to select Greek for every search term.
2. It does not appear to allow transliterated entry of Greek/Hebrew the Lemma and Root, as you can for command line morphological searches. I ended up typing the search term in a regular morphological search and copying it over to the Morph Query Builder.
3. It is critical for many morphological searches that the search boundary have the option of being limited to a clause or sentence. There are many false hits if the matching search terms occur in different sentences or clauses. Some sentences cross verse boundaries, so number of verses is not that useful for morphology searches. There should be an option to specify the boundary (clause, sentence, verse, etc.).
4. When I select Morph as the type of search, only Morph queries defined for that resource should be listed, as they do for the Syntax searches. As it is, if I choose NA28 and then choose a Morph Query defined for the SBLGNT, the search is done on the SBLGNT.
5. The form would be a less daunting if only morphological options relevant to the particular part of speech(s) chosen were displayed. For example, if I am searching on nouns, the form should not list all of the options for verbs and conjunctions. At the least irrelevant options could be greyed out.
6. It would be helpful to separate the portion of the Bible from the definition of the search. The way it is currently is consistent with the Syntax searches, so I can live with it. But my first instinct was to select a portion of the Bible and a resource in the Morph search window and then go to Create Morph Query Document.
7. Will it ever be possible to represent these searches as a command line search? If I enter a regular morph search and switch to Basic or Bible, the search syntax is converted to a more general form. For example,
lemma:ἀγαπάω@VA?M
gets changed to
(([field bible, content] <Lemma = lbs/el/ἀγαπάω>) ANDEQUALS ([field bible, content] <LogosMorphGr ~ VA?M????>))
I recognize that these searches may be too complex to represent in this form.
