Suggestion: A reliable, touch or click word pronouncer built within Logos for free

Imagine this:

You are sitting in a Bible study at work in a small circle and your turn is next to read. You are given a particularly challenging section of Scripture to read and want to pronounce all the places and people names accurately aloud.

Wouldn't it be great to open your Bible within Logos and either tap on a word with your stylus or highlight it with finger (yes I know i am dreaming) and the speaker either on your phone, tablet, or computer says the word or alternately gives you a way to pronounce it phonetically.

...then when everyone is impressed or marvelling, you say "I am using Logos 8.0 and this is one of its new features"

Many of you know I think this sort of basic functionality should be built in right at the start screen. Why it is not remains a mystery to me.

I would suggest a tweak to MJ's approach. Her approach, as I understand it, requires you to prioritise your dictionaries so as to have one that offers pronunciation at the top. The problem is that you may not want that dictionary to be your top dog otherwise and it is not convenient to revert prioritisation all the time depending on whether you want pronunciation or your preferred source for definitions.

The alternative, if you have "that's easy for you to say" is that in a situation in which you have need for pronunciation, open it and select from the resource options "Send hyperlinks here". Now when you double-click on a proper noun, it will take you straight to the entry. You still have to click on the audio icon though to hear it.

You can also use the Pronunciation tool (under the Tools menu). Select "Factbook Headings" to have English pronunciations. You can type what you want in the find box. The words that are available will depend on how many Factbook tagged resources you have. For instance, when I type "Nineveh" I don't have an entry for it, but I have "officials in Nineveh". So this is not a perfect solution nor is it quite "touch and click".
